Blakroc a.k.a Do you ever fuck with rock&roll?
I think it was around last autumn that I discovered the brilliance of The Black Keys.Oh, how i adore thee music..Oh shit, this is gonna be such a stan post, so yeah:)
At some point I remember reading that they were gonna record a new album with some hip-hop/r'n'b artists, but I figured it would take some time to actually finish it (getting everyone together etc.).Boy, was I wrong. The album comes out November 27 (Black Friday, after Thanksgiving) and features collaborations by Q-Tip,Mos Def, RZA, Raekwon, Ludacris, Pharoahe Monch, NOE, Nicole Wray, Billy Danze and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. After listening to some of the tracks on YT, watching the clips from the recording process,well..Sweeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Here is the tracklist:
01 Coochie (feat. Ludacris & Ol Dirty Bastard)
02 On The Vista (feat. Mos Def)
03 Hard Times (feat. NOE)
04 Dollaz & Sense (feat. Pharoahe Monch & RZA)
05 Why Cant I Forget Him (feat. Nicole Wray)
06 Stay Off The Fuckin Flowers (feat. Raekwon)
07 Aint Nothing Like You (Hoochie Coo) (feat. Jim Jones & Mos Def)
08 Hope Youre Happy (feat. Billy Danze (of M.O.P.), Nikki Wray & Q-Tip)
09 Tellin Me Things (feat. RZA)
10 What You Do To Me (feat. Billy Danze (of M.O.P.), Jim Jones & Nicole Wray)
11 Done Did It (feat. Nicole Wray & NOE)
More info and photos/stuff on their website.
First single off the album is "Ain't Nothing Like You (Hoochie Coo)"
Blakroc also had weekly episodes of the recording process, and I think I'll put them all here.Hah, 10 or so YT videos (slow comp owners, beware:)
Only a few more days..oh man, oh man, feels like it's Christmas..wooooohoooooooooo!
In the meantime The Black Keys albums will be on loop:)

SO MUCH EPIC WIN IN THIS POST!
I woke up one friday morning a couple of weeks ago, made a cup of coffee, ate breakfast..Since I don't like hot coffee, I usually let it cool off for quite a bit..So, there I was, searching something online when suddenly I discovered myself watching YouTube clips of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, where his guest was Ewan McGregor..Let me just say that watching the aforementioned show equals a fucking cold coffee to drink later. Why?Because it's impossible to watch it without laughing and when I laugh really hard, I have tears in my eyes. So trying to drink, wipe tears and watch the show at the same time is one hot mess:)
How on earth have i not discovered these clips before?!?
Ewan McGregor has been on the show 3 times by now..They're seriously freakin' hilarious together and have this routine going on already: dance-bits in the beginning, then EM tries to unsuccessfully promo his new movie and somehow they end up talking about planes..um,oops, now i ruined it for newbies..
Watch these with no drinks at hand and/or no objects in your mouth:)Oh, and a sense of humor is also advisable.
"Yeah, all the Star Wars nude scences just some how didn't make it into the film.."
"I was like Dii-ick"..."The great thing about picking up homeless people is that you can drop them off anywhere!"
"You could dress up and put shoes on your knees.."
"Ivan, I am your father!"
No goats were harmed..
"Ewan McGregor, everybody. We'll be right back!..Oh,no that's your line."
But..but..where is the ESPN UK part...:(
I absolutely LOVE Ewan Mcgregor's laugh..
The best part about these clips is that they never get old..
Oh, and if anyone hasn't seen Long Way Round or Long Way Down - then get to it.Now!
Long Way Round (LWR) is a documentary television series documenting the 19,000 miles (31,000 km) journey of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman from London to New York on motorcycles. They travelled eastwards through Europe and Asia, flew to Alaska and continued by road from there to New York.
"Usually people bring a coffee; he brought a fucking machine gun!"
Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman followed up their epic Long Way Round trip by riding south through 18 countries from John o' Groats in Scotland to Cape Agulhas in South Africa via Europe and Africa in 2007, calling it Long Way Down.

The xx
London-based band The xx has put me in a total trance today.I cannot stop listening to their album. It is brilliant. The sounds are haunting and suck you right in.
When I first heard one of their songs, I was like 'hm, this is actually pretty interesting'.So I re-played the song and before I knew it, I had listened to it 10 times in a row. That kinda proves my point of sucking one into their music.
